New Wu Tang

I barely wanted to even do this shit. Wu Tang shaped my childhood. They are the reason why I go by Wally Clark and call my record label Gummy Soul. They are the reason why I dress the way I dress and the way I use language and slang and have touched almost every aspect of my life. But I refuse to front and act like they haven't been wack for some time. Masta Killa still doesn't actually rhyme half the time. RZA is the king of the smart dumb rapping shit where he talks about pyramids and shit and if you are 18 it sounds like he is the smartest person in the world, but if you went to college, you realize that it's mostly some basic ass 1st year conspiracy theory shit. Ghostface has been dialing in for 5 years. Raekwon is tight but kinda boring, and seems like he really treats this shit as a job. Method Man can rap, but is kinda like a cool dad at this point, he uses half corny punchlines and stupid pop references. GZA lost me when I found out that he is super thirsty with women and was desperately texting a friend of mine. That is not GENIUS behavior. U God whateva. Deck is still pretty dope, but is like a Pippen figure.

I WISH ALL THESE DUDES WOULD START SMOKING DUST AGAIN.

NOTES:
Leasons Learned:
Terrible Hook but verses were straight

Fast and Furious:
Terrible Hook

Frozen:
Was that supposed to be a scratch hook without scratching? WEIRD
Killa Priest sounds pretty good.
Lil Pun did a Wu impression

Pearl Harbor:
RZA sounds stupid as fuck.
Awkward "Wuish" hook "Degrees in gynecology?" lame dude
I like Sean Price

People Say:
This song is pretty dope but that sample has been used before so it kinda takes away from the impact.
WHY WHY WHY:
is a good name for this fucking bullshit

G'd Up:
Method Man is just a rappy rap rapper at this point. What is that fucking singin on the hook?

Side note: NONE OF THIS SHIT TAKES ME TO A PLACE. THE OLD WU SHIT WAS DARK AND FELT VERY SPECIFIC TO NEW YORK AND SHAOLIN. THEY WERE TOO ENTRENCHED IN THAT LIFE TO BE MAKING CORNY POP REFERENCES AND SAYING STUPID SHIT. IT WAS DANGEROUS. OK BACK TO IT

OK I SCANNED THROUGH THE REST AND I DONT WANT TO DO THIS ANYMORE. THIS IS NOT A GOOD ALBUM.

Oh yeah, the cover is a hot pile of dog shit. I can't even tell who is who. It is bad artwork and some amateur bullshit

Recognize Ali and Dj Tmb - Allah's Favorite

I never heard of the dude, Recognize Ali, til tonight, but he's real fucking tight. What I like about him is while he's rapping over a lot of minimalistic no drums beats that are popular right now, the beats are a little faster and he's really rapping his ass off. It's a lot less lazy sounding than most of the shit coming out. It's unfortunate that his video uses the same sample as Westside Gunn and Apollo Brown's Mr. T, because that alone almost made me dismiss this dude as some out of touch amateur. I'm glad I didn't, because he is more impressive than most of the new crop of "Luxurious Fly Shit" rappers. There are multiple samples that have been used before, but that seems kind of par for the course these days. This album is actually more effective at modern grimy rap than most of the Griselda shit I've heard lately.

Roc Marciano verse

You can pretty much just skip the song after the hook comes on. At least Roc had the first verse
